Dear Parents,

Greetings!

As we approach the end of 2017/2019 PTA term, we would like to thank the members of BBS PTA 2017/2019 for all the incredible work and support they offered our school.

It is now time to announce the election process for the 2019-2021 BBS PTA.

Al-Bayan Bilingual School is looking for parents who believe in the importance of nurturing relationships among members of the school community for supporting student achievement. If you are a motivated and dedicated person who believes in fostering the school community, we would like you to nominate yourself for the Executive Committee of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for the academic years 2019/2020 and 2021/2020. The elections will take place by the end of this month and will be conducted via email exclusively. The voted members of the PTA Executive Committee will consist of 12 members: one parent and one staff from Nursery (Pre KG), Kindergarten, Middle School and High School and two parents and two staff members from Elementary School. Election will be held between April 28 and May 2.

If you would like to assume a leadership role in the PTA please nominate yourself by submitting a word document to Ms. Badriyah Al Rasheed at [email protected]  with the details below by April 28, 2019:

About BBS Parent Teacher Association (PTA):

The mission of the PTA is to promote school spirit and foster the school community by building relationships between students, teachers, parents and staff. The main objectives of the PTA are to:

  • Organize events to engage and strengthen the Al-Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) community
  • Host PTA workshops supporting the BBS community
  • Welcome new BBS parents and staff and involve them in community building activities
  • Raise funds for school projects and the PTA
  • Assist the different school stakeholders to effectively communicate amongst each other
  • Create an annual plan outlining the PTA’s goals and an evaluation system to measure its success

 

BBS PTA members Commitments:

  • Attend PTA Executive Committee Meetings that will be held once a month. 
  • Lead one project per year as part of the commitment.
