Dear ES Students, Parents, and Faculty,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you all as we begin a new school year. I hope it will be a year filled with learning, success, and achievement. I would also like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to our entire school community as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of our school—a remarkable fifty years of giving, learning, nurturing generations, and creating memories that will forever remain part of our school’s history and identity.
Celebrating this milestone is about more than marking fifty years. It is an opportunity to reflect on our school’s journey, celebrate everyone who has contributed to its growth and development, and introduce our students to its history, values, and achievements. Most importantly, it is a chance to instill in them a sense of pride, belonging, and responsibility toward their school community. I look forward to a year filled with activities that will allow our students to experience this golden anniversary with pride and joy.
After months of online learning and the summer vacation, it is wonderful to welcome our students back to school. We have missed their voices, laughter, enthusiasm, and the presence that brings our school to life. This year, their return gives us an opportunity to rebuild school routines, rediscover the joy of learning, and strengthen relationships while fostering a renewed sense of safety and belonging.
At the heart of our priorities this year are our students—their academic, psychological, social, and emotional well-being. We will focus on addressing learning gaps, identifying each student’s individual needs, and providing the appropriate support and interventions to help them rebuild confidence in their abilities and make progress in their learning. At the same time, our focus on students’ emotional and psychological well-being will be just as important as our academic focus. A child who feels safe, cared for, accepted, and valued is better prepared to learn, grow, and thrive.
Our shared responsibility is to make our school a place where every child feels seen, heard, and valued; a place where every student has the opportunity to begin again, move forward with confidence, and discover their strengths and abilities.
Let us make this school year a year of recovery and growth, let our golden anniversary strengthen our connection to our school, and let every school day be an opportunity to create wonderful memories and new achievements.
Wishing our school and its entire community a wonderful year ahead, and wishing our students greater confidence, happiness, and sense of belonging with each passing year.
With my very best wishes for a successful school year,
Ms. Lina El-Soury ![]()
