SCHOOL DIVISION
             The Preschool

             (Pre-K, KG1 & KG2)































                            “The program is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach
                                            to early childhood education.”


          Preschool consists of 3 academic years (Pre-K, KG1 and KG2). The Preschool program is an integral part of the BBS
          educational program in its goals and methods of instruction. In early childhood, social-emotional, perceptual-motor,
          cognitive and language development skills are the foundation upon which we build our elementary education.


          The Preschool program, through its three years, is bilingual (English and Arabic) with students spending equal time in
          each language. It is a play-based program, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education that is
          centered around the belief that children are competent and capable and their job is to make sense of the world around
          them.


          To support children in the various forms of art expression we have a full time Artist (Atelierista) whose role is to help
          children and teachers to grow in the art of aesthetic dimension. The Atelierista works directly with classroom teachers,
          and simultaneously with teachers and children, devising and facilitating learning experiences that compliment classroom
          curricular learning.


          The Preschool Reggio inspired program offers a unique environment that is designed to act as a third teacher where
          children  enter  happily,  as  they  build  relationships  with  the  environment,  people  and  materials.  It  is  through  these
          relationships that the journey of learning begins.

          Pre-K Program



          As Pre-K children work to build their oral language skills, they sometimes struggle to find ways to communicate; our
          Pre-K program offers a variety of forms for children to express their thoughts and ideas through explorations with many
          different art mediums, movement, music, dramatic play, technology, daily mini lessons and early literacy skills.


          Through inquiry and project based learning, children are able to ask their own questions and carry out investigations and
          observations to find the answers that they seek and discover the world around them.
