BBS Class of ‘23 Visit Japan During Winter Break

01 February 2023
Al-Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) organized a trip to Japan for 100 of its high school students
(Class of ‘23) accompanied by 13 teachers and chaperons from the Student Life Department. The students who chose to participate in the trip spent 10 days touring the Capital of Tokyo and the cities of Osaka and Kyoto during the winter break.

During the trip, the students met with the State of Kuwait’s Ambassador to Japan, His
Excellency Mr. Sami Al-Zamanan, who gave the students a tour of the Kuwait Embassy offices
in Tokyo and briefed them on the Japanese way of life. Mr. Al-Zamanan focused his talks with
the students on higher education institutions and educational opportunities in Japan. He also
shared with students very valuable advises regarding education and career planning based on
his rich professional experience.

The trip included visits to prominent Japanese attractions and landmarks such as Sky Tree tower, the highest tower in Japan where the students enjoyed a view of Tokyo from the 350 th floor, and spent some exciting times in Universal Studios. They also visited the City of Kyoto where they got to try the traditional Japanese clothes (Kimono) and toured the Miraikan National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. The students used the fast electric train to transport between the Japanese cities.

BBS has always been keen on organizing educational and entertaining trips for its senior students who usually choose the destination they would like to explore. Previous trips’ destinations included other countries such as France, Switzerland and Italy.
