Immunizations

The School’s Immunization Program is part of a national strategy to protect children from infectious diseases, through vaccination. The School's Immunization Program protects against the following diseases with the named vaccine:

  • Measles, mumps, rubella with MMR vaccine.
  • Tetanus, diphtheria, with DT vaccine

The table below shows the types of vaccines administered at BBS by a team of nurses from the Ministry of Health in accordance with Kuwait’s Schedule of Essential Vaccinations:

  1. Two drops oral sabin
  2. SC injection in the outer aspect of the upper arm
  3. SC injection in the upper arm
10 (Grade 5) TD vaccine (Tetanus and Diphtheria) IM injection in deltoid muscle
12 (female students) MMR - Measles, Mumps, Rubella SC injection
18 (Grade 12) Booster dose of Td vaccine (Tetanus and Diphtheria) IM injection in deltoid muscle

Parents/legal guardian/students will be provided in advance with the necessary information regarding these vaccinations.
