    Professional Experience and Affiliations:

    Yasmine F. M. Al-Saleh has a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Bryn Mawr College (1996), and a master’s degree in History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania (2002). Yasmine has a second master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Harvard University (2006). She recently completed her PhD dissertation at Harvard University. It is a joint degree in Middle Eastern Studies and History of Art and Architecture.

    Moving back to Kuwait in January 2011, Ms. Al-Saleh rejoined the Board in the Fall of 2011. Her primary focus on the Board is a commitment to academic excellence at Al-Bayan Bilingual School and Fawzia Sultan International School. Yasmine was a BBS PTA member from 1996-1998 and Board member from 1996-2000.

    Professional Experience and Affiliations 

    Mr. Saad Altami joined the FAWSEC Educational Company Board of Directors in SY2024/2025. 
    Mr. Saad completed his second master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Organization, and Entrepreneurship from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He also holds a master’s degree in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Toledo.
     
    In addition, Mr. Saad Altami is the founder and president of The Diwan, a nonprofit organization founded at Harvard University in 2023. The Diwan is a unique platform that creates dialogue for researchers, policymakers, journalists, and business leaders in the Arab and Middle Eastern World.
     
    In 2021, Mr. Saad founded “Get Me In”, a career and academic consultancy. Its primary mission is dedicated to assisting students worldwide with their applications to universities in the US and UK, and through this work, Mr. Saad has helped hundreds of students navigate their academic and career paths. 
     
     
     
     

    Mr. Tariq Al Samerraie

    Professional Experience and Affiliations:

    Mr. Alsamerraie has been involved with the FAWSEC community long before officially joining the group in 2004.  Mr. Alsamerraie was a student at Al-Bayan Bilingual School (“BBS”), from 1977 to 1990, a co-founder and member of the BBS Alumni Association in 1996, a co-founder and ex-member of Fawzia Sultan International School’s (“FSIS”) PTA in 1998, and a parent of two students at BBS since 2009.
     
    In 1996, Mr. Alsamerraie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance & Marketing, from Boston University in Massachusetts and later that year he joined the Treasury Department at the National Bank of Kuwait where he built a career in banking for eight years.  During that period, Mr. Alsamerraie obtained in 1999 the ACI Dealing Certification with distinction and became a member of the Kuwait Financial Markets Association.  Furthermore, Mr. Alsamerraie worked in the real estate development and investment sectors.
     
    Mr. Alsamerraie, who is currently the Chief Executive Officer of FAWSEC Holding Company, has been a driving force behind the growth of FAWSEC and its subsidiaries.  Projects included the construction of the BBS campus in Hawalli, renovation and launch of the BBS Nursery in Jabriya, the rebranding and restructuring of FSIS, which became BIS, and the construction of the new FAWSEC staff compound in Sabah Al-Salem area.
    In addition to running the daily activities of FAWSEC, Mr. Alsamerraie also works closely with the company owners and board of directors to carry out the group’s ongoing efforts for enhancements and growth.
     
     

  • Ms. Dalia Al Mufarrej

    Professional Experience and Affiliations:

    Ms. Al Mufarrej started her career at Gulf Investment Corporation as a trainee at the Projects Division.  She then joined the Managed Funds Division (MFD) and was an active member of the team that selected managers for various asset classes following rigid guidelines.  The assets of the MFD consisted of Private Equity Funds, Hedge Funds, Special Investment Vehicles (SIVs), Managed Futures Fund, and Global Equities Funds.

    Ms. Al Mufarrej worked closely with other divisions as well such as; Finance Division, Risk Management, and Treasury on Budget, Tactical Asset Allocation, and Strategic Asset Allocation.  In addition, she reviewed MFD’s Guidelines, Processes, Procedures, and Internal Control Frameworks along with Risk Management Division, Compliance and Control Division, and Audit Division.

    Ms. Al Mufarrej is an Al-Bayan Bilingual School (BBS) alumna. Mrs. Al Mufarrej is a parent of two daughters at BBS.

    Joined FAWSEC as Curriculum Developer in 2013 and then got promoted to Academic Affairs Officer in 2016 and now serve in the capacity of CEO. Currently in charge of the school Directors (Al-Bayan Bilingual School and Al-Bayan International School), human resources, professional development, IT, education technology management and admissions. Some of the projects that she has worked on include:

    • Created and facilitated workshops to revise the schools’ missions
    • Established partnerships within Kuwait to bring relevant programs to the students. This includes a plan that was recently initiated with a Kuwait based company to bring design thinking and creative problem solving initiatives to middle and high school students
    • Had a major role in the Human Resources department review. Provided input on the updated staff job descriptions, helped create the evaluation systems and worked on the development of an online Employee Portal to be implemented at the schools
    • Aligned the Professional Development department to school and employee goals and worked on incorporating that to the Employee Portal to streamline the application and tracking process, and evaluate the impact of PD offerings
    • Worked on parent communication and engagement by initiating the parent teacher association at BBS and creating the new website structure
    • Analyzed and led the enhancement of the rigor and relevance of K-12 curriculum maps in Math, Science, and Technology
    • Introduced a data analysis function for the organization to track school KPIs and support teachers in utilizing data for instruction
